City Jogging Tours of London has added a new, mouth-watering tour to its choice of sightseeing and running combinations. Aimed at people who love both their food and their running, the Foodies Jogging Tour crosses Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Fitzrovia, Soho and Covent Garden, passing over 20 top London restaurants along the way. The standard run is 10km long; however as with all of the City Jogging Tours, this can be customised to meet individual wishes.

With interiors that range from the impossibly ornate to the ultra-chic, their expert guides run through the tasty titbits about each restaurant, covering tales of their running chefs, delicious signature dishes and even mention of the new runners’ super food that appears in a ketchup.
The tour route was designed by City Jogging Tours guide Andrea, who is a lover of fine dining and self-confessed ‘foodie’, and who has eaten at all the restaurants included in the tour. She notes:
“With so many fabulous restaurants to visit and beautiful parks and squares to run through, the tour can easily be altered for those who desire a longer or shorter run. Most people do not notice how far they are running as the tour is so much fun, however, they do work up quite an appetite!”
From the elegance of Belgravia and Mayfair through to the buzz of Fitzrovia and Soho, the beauty of the parks and squares and the tranquillity of the riverside, the tour route alone is a must. While gourmet food is not included on this tour, an energy bar and a T shirt are provided!
